Amazing! Great find BBW! I was a youngster back at that time, but I can remember listening to Mike Robert's during a game and talking about how Carvin Blocker could "leap out of the gym", this was before he came to UNM and arrived with a huge knee brace at

his first game. . You're right, he could've been something special for sure.

Very impressive work BBW. Some of those old pics brought back lots of memories.

But I still believe I can stump you. I have a list of about 7-10 players from the 80'-90's whom I'm finding it virtually impossible to locate pictures of.  If you'd like to know who,  let me know.

Hoov was perfect Pg for King’s style - no turnovers, great man to man D, set up the O for our inside game. -always walked the ball up - most thought that was because of our slowdown, get the ball inside style but that was just serindepitious- it was really because  he worked so hard on D and smoked a pack a day - needed a blow ( lol, but true). Only real downside was he couldn’t shoot so teams learned to sag off of him & double Mel.

I too really appreciate the pictures and even though many of the guys are before my time, I've heard most of the names over the years and its great to be able to match the names to the photos.    Thanks!

Lobo team shot (Special Requests are in here) 1983-1984.

That team looks like it had boatloads of talent there in Scarborough, Hunter, Tim Garrett, Phil Smith, George Scott, and all the rest.
